Re-visiting O.J. Atogwe

If you remember back to last year, the Vikings made an effort to sign safety O.J. Atogwe of the Rams at that time but ultimately he chose the Redskins because it was the path god had chosen for him. Well the Redskins released the safety and according to Jeremy Fowler the Vikings are revisiting the potential fit but they are not sure he is the same player he was with the Rams.

Atogwe is now 30 years old and in 13 games last year, 8 in which he started, he had 35 tackles, 6 pass deflections, and 3 interceptions. Not sure he fits the mold of what the Vikings want in a player while rebuilding but our safety play last year was so bad he would offer an upgrade at the position.

  1. Lost Viking says:

    Safety first.

His numbers are better than any safety we have on the roster and if he can take the right angles on tackles and not let easy picks go right through his hands , I say offer him a contract .
