Vikings Trade Pick No. 3 to Cleveland

Jay Glazer reported that the Vikings have traded their number 3 overall pick to Cleveland for their 4th overall and a 4th, 5th and 7th rounder. More than likely Cleveland will draft RB Trent Richardson.

Vikings could still be looking to trade down as they now sit at the 4th overall pick. Vikings should have their pick of who ever they want if they stay at the 4th pick.

Great trade by Spielman. Let’s see what else he can do.

    YES YES YES.

Exactly what we needed to have happen. We got the guy we needed and we got 3 extra picks to boot.

Now we need to do some more wheeling and dealing * * *

I agree. We’ll see how they do the rest of the draft, but I don’t think it could have started much better for em :P. I’m a big USC fan so I’ve seen Kalil, and he is solid, and probably one of the most athletic Olinemen I’ve seen.

Why in the H would Cleveland do that ? I am glad they did….but MN wasn’t interested in Richardson anyway….

    • Nume says:

Presumably Spielman convinced them that the Vikings had another team that would trade up to get him if Cleveland didn’t.

      • Bill says:

Gotcha…….nice….since when did the Vikings get so smart….It wasn’t that long ago they took too much time and lost a pick

        • Nume says:

Well this is their first year with Spielman as the lone head, which so far seems to be working out pretty well :D.
