You can throw all of these stats out the window. here’s what has to happen for a Vikings victory: Christian Ponder HAS to play better than he’s been playing the last two weeks, the defense HAS to get pressure on Russell Wilson, sack him and/or not let him run for yardage out of the pocket, STOP Marshawn Lynch, NOT LET Wilson go deep, Our offense HAS TO get some time-consuming long drives for touchdowns, and not threes. The Offensive line HAS TO protect Ponder better, plus make some decent holes for Adrian Peterson so we can sustain some sort of running attack. The Viking receivers MUST create some separation and/or run some unusual and precise pass routes. That last condition is probably going to be the hardest one, because of Seattle’s size in the secondary. Percy Harvin will probably have to have another big day. The O-line MUST pick up the blitz, or it’s going to be a long day for Ponder. IF THESE THINGS DO NOT HAPPEN, THE VIKINGS LOSE, AND LOSE BIG. Seattle is way too good of a team to take ANYTHING for granted. Minnesota must also be very physical, offensively and defensivley, to have a chance at a victory here.
