If we bring McNabb back this week we might have a chance to win this 1

PLLLEEEAAASSSEEE! Don’t remind me. I’d much rather have Ponder, and that ain’t sayin’ a lot…at least so far. I may be wrong, but I’ve got this funny feeling that Ponder is gonna be alright this Sunday. I mean, he IS going to be in front of the home crowd (that USUALLY helps), and the Bears D is banged up a little bit. The thing that still worries me is the fact that we still won’t have Percy back. But, I DO THINK IT IS HIGH TIME Ponder learns to throw to his other receivers (if they can manage to get open). Our D has to get pressure on Cutler, stuff the run, and cover Brandon Marshall like a blanket (WITHOUT ANY STUPID PI PENALTIES). Just as importantly, I think the Vikings O-line has to protect better, and give Ponder time to find the open man. I know THAT is asking a lot, seeing as how it seems that he can’t find the open man to begin with, but it still has to be done. THEN, AND ONLY THEN, will we have a chance to take this game from the Bears. SOMETHING tells me to have a little faith this week…27-24, Vikings.

Ponder is not the answer. Minnesota needs a coach with some fire, Jon Gruden?? Sorry to say, Vikes have a lot of rebuilding to do and it has to start in the front office. It wont be long befor Allen starts thinkin of retirement, Peterson wants to play on a winning team, and Harvin wont be around for too long either. I predict a Bears blowout at the dome. This game is to important to the Bears. The Vikings look as if they are just out there to have fun. Going to be a long season next year too if they dont do something fast with a QB. Again, Ponder is not the answer, why they wasted a pick on him I dont know…….Front office needs rebuilding…

So far, it looks as though Ponder is going to have to be the answer. They sure as hell aren’t going to go with anyone else in the foreseeable future. I keep hoping that those statistics we keep seeing about how the QB ratings and completion/INT ratio for Brees, Aikman, Rivers, etc, being along the same lines as Ponder’s is right now are true, and that his development continues to the caliber of some of those other great quarterbacks. Only time will tell. If not, I hope to God that their less than stellar record of picking quarterbacks changes, and they FINALLY find one that can carry the team like a quarterback is supposed to. As far as coaching goes, I’ve been screaming for such a long time now that we need to place Gruden or Cowher in the head coaching slot. Someone with fire, and a gut desire to win, and to produce a winning football team. Unfortunately, I just don’t see either one of those guys coming out of coaching retirement. They’re both in too sweet a spot right now, analyzing behind a desk, and getting paid a nice chunk of change for it. I’d like to be wrong there, though. Very wrong. You know, it’s a shame that RGIII was available for the Vikings in the draft (at least I think he was), and they didn’t take him. Stupid move. Stupid moves are what the Vikings are famous for though. (See Hershcel Walker trade). I just wish to God that they would let ME draft for them for a season or two, or at least do some scouting for them. Things would change for the better up there, I guarantee it.

Stevie Wonder can pick draft picks better than them people up there…Pathetic……

  5. bcat says:

Some qbs can make marginal receivers look better than they really are.
In this case Harvin made Ponder look decent for the first four games.
Without Harvin Ponder has been exposed.
If AP went down this team would be a bottom three team.
The sad part is the management will put the blame on receivers and use their first pick in th draft on a WR.
This guy is not the answer, but Frazier and Speilman are too proud to admit a
Look around the league there are quite a few qbs playing well with no name receivers…..
Ponder may be smart but the vikes need a playmaker.

  6. purplereign57 says:

@bcat…I agree 100%. Everything you stated in your comment is right on the money. Instead of a wide receiver, they need to hire a smart, big-name offensive coordinator, and/or a new head coach. Then they need to put their heads together and draft a quarterback with the potential to be a hall of famer. I know that’s asking a lot, but Green Bay saw it in Brett Favre when they stole him from Atlanta. I know the Falcons have Matty Ice now, but Atlanta has been kicking themselves in the butt ever since that trade happened.

  7. bcat says:

These teams are putting 8 somtimes 9 man fronts to stop Peterson….Ponder should be throwing for 300 yds per game not 80.
If that doesnt tell it all.
Put 8or 9 guys against the run and every other qb in our division would throw all day.
Frazier stop being stubborn……this experiment is done
