First I have to applaud Peter for doing the article. Basically either we have to play Harvin or trade him. Then I have to applaud Matt for reprinting the article on Vikings Gab. I know it was just used as filler … but REALLY? I mean we have so many more options with Harvin. We could make him a waterboy or maybe even the editor of Vikingsgab

@Vikingsdude…I doubt that the organization would pay Harvin 8 or 9 mil a year to be the water boy, (or even the editor of Vikings Gab!)) LOL But seriously, I agree with you… pay him or trade him. I don’t mean go all in on him and break their bank, just pay him what a #1 receiver gets paid these days. It’s obvious that Harvin is the Vikings number one wideout, and one of the most dynamic receivers in the NFL, so he expects to be compensated like one. The way things are in the league nowadays, I can’t say that I blame him. But here’s the main thing…I think he needs a major attitude adjustment so he can play well with others, and get along better with the coaching staff. That seems to be the major rub here. BUT, if he wants to continue to be a cry baby, demanding more and more…I say trade him anyway, there’s got to be another receiver out there that can fill the void. Maybe not exactly like Harvin, but we can always build through the draft, like Speilman wants to anyway. We did okay in last year’s draft…who’s to say that we can’t have a repeat performance? Personally, I’d like to see Aaron Dobson fly under the radar until pick #23. Something tells me that he has a GREAT DEAL of potential. But I just don’t think that teams will let him go that long without somebody picking him up.
