It’s news that no Vikings fan wants to hear.
Tuesday afternoon at practice quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was injured on a non-contact play, as he went down in the pocket and grabbed his left knee.
Coach Mike Zimmer scrapped the practice after just 25 minutes, and reports are describing the injury as ‘disturbing’ and ‘gruesome.’
Bridgewater was immobilized and sedated, and Vikings players “threw their helmets to the ground and cursed.”
“Today is a disappointing day. … The No. 1 thing is Teddy is such a great kid,” coach Mike Zimmer said. “Everyone loves him.”
Losing Bridgewater is a killer for this team, and now they have to look ahead and check what QB’s may be out there on the waiver wire, and also hope that Shaun Hill can keep the position going in the right direction for now.
