Teddy Bridgewater Speaks Out; Vikings QB Says He Wants to Be the ‘Best Version’ He Can Be

(Pioneer Press: John Autey)

It has been a long road back for Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, and the Vikings signal caller is hoping for health as well as the ability to once again be ‘the man’ for the Vikings in 2017.

He met with the media on Thursday for the first time since suffering the knee injury that was scary enough to think that his career might be over, and said that he’s now “appreciative” of the things he has in life.

He also said that while it’s been a long process, he’s ready for what lies ahead.

“You have days when you don’t see the progress, but it’s a long process,” Bridgewater said. “I’m in it for the long haul. I want to be the best version of Teddy I can be.”

The one thing that Teddy is waiting for is the first time he takes a lick on the playing field. It might be scary for him as well as the team, but he’s ready to get it out of the way and get back to leading the Vikings.

“That first initial hit or contact will tell me I can do this,” Bridgewater said. “If I can do it one time, I can do it forever.”

Bridgewater has the right attitude, now on the PUP list look for him to keep trying to work his way back with the Vikings.
