When I first saw the hideous femur injury suffered versus the Arizona Cardinals, the first words out of my mouth were, “He is finished! There is no way Henderson will ever suit up to play in the NFL again.”
I am delighted to see that I may have been wrong in my original assessment as the [...]

Middle linebacker is like the quarterback of the defense and the Vikings have some work to do at this position. It is perhaps the only position in which 2009’s starter will not be back for 2010, and [...]
Lets take our weekly look around the web:
The Vikings finally lost a coach and the details can be read here.
Visanthe Shiancoe sounds like he is eager to face the Saints again this season.
Our good friend PJD has confused the readers over at the Daily Norseman when he alluded to one of my quotes of the [...]
I was so disheartened when I saw my favorite current Vikings, E.J. Henderson, go down with a gruesome leg injury against the Cardinals that I was speechless at the time.
Like many Viking fans, I am hopeful that Henderson will recover fully and quickly. That is why I will endeavor to keep you all as updated [...]
E.J. Henderson’s leg isn’t the only injury we will be monitoring throughout the offseason.
Early indications are that Cedric Griffin suffered a torn ACL and possibly a torn MCL while covering a kickoff late in Sunday’s loss.

As Vikings Update points out, that title is in danger this year and the team who is most likely to finish on top of the category is none other than the Green Bay Packers.
The Vikings are currently ranked 4th in run defense [...]
Vikings backup linebacker Erin Henderson was dealt a four game suspension by the NFL today for violating their policies on enhancement substances.
No further details on the nature of his transgression are available. Henderson would be available to rejoin his team starting the day after their first playoff game… if he’s still a member of the [...]
Until this week, the Vikings have had a pretty fortunate year when it comes to injuries.
However, today the Vikings listed a quarter of their roster on the injury report. A quarter is a lot, especially considering the majority of our injured players are starters. Let’s take a look at them all:
DID NOT PARTICPATE:
- Percy Harvin [...]
The Vikings were already missing Anthony Herrera (concussion) and Antoine Winfield (foot) on Sunday. The hope (as was the hope last week) is that both of these guys will be ready to go on Sunday against the Bengals.
However, injury worries now run a lot deeper than they did before Sunday night’s game against the Cardinals. [...]
