Sidney Rice is beginning training camp on the PUP list, which is an obvious disappointment to Vikings fans hoping to see him repeat the production that landed him on the Pro Bowl last season.
Rice apparently was told he should have had surgery on his hip, but that it was absolutely needed.
“Couple of guys thought I [...]
Erin Henderson was kind enough to take some time and answer a few questions for all of us fans here at VikingsGab.
Mike: How are you spending the offseason? Any big vacations? What types of training do you do? Are you training with any other NFL players?
Erin: I have really just been trying to relax as much as [...]
The NFL released their entire 2010 schedule on Tuesday. Many people will say that the Vikings 2010 hopes hinge on Brett Favre’s pending decision, but each game will be sure to have some drama regardless of what Favre decides.
Lets take a look.
Sept. 9 — at Saints, 7:30 p.m., NBC
NOTE: NFC Championship rematch to open the season [...]
The Vikings offseason thus far can be best described as “boring,” and rightfully so.
Waiting for an old guy to make a decision is the equivalent of watching paint dry, sifting through details of a seemingly never ending court case feels like watching grass grow, signing a kicker generates enough buzz to sell about zero more season [...]
There is an article over at Access Vikings that is well worth the read if you are like me and would enjoy nothing more than to see E.J. Henderson make a return to the football field this year.

Middle linebacker is like the quarterback of the defense and the Vikings have some work to do at this position. It is perhaps the only position in which 2009’s starter will not be back for 2010, and [...]
Lets take our weekly look around the web:
The Vikings finally lost a coach and the details can be read here.
Visanthe Shiancoe sounds like he is eager to face the Saints again this season.
Our good friend PJD has confused the readers over at the Daily Norseman when he alluded to one of my quotes of the [...]
I was so disheartened when I saw my favorite current Vikings, E.J. Henderson, go down with a gruesome leg injury against the Cardinals that I was speechless at the time.
Like many Viking fans, I am hopeful that Henderson will recover fully and quickly. That is why I will endeavor to keep you all as updated [...]
E.J. Henderson’s leg isn’t the only injury we will be monitoring throughout the offseason.
Early indications are that Cedric Griffin suffered a torn ACL and possibly a torn MCL while covering a kickoff late in Sunday’s loss.
These injuries can have very lengthy rehab periods, and Griffin’s availability for 2010 is already a question mark.
