It was not an impressive debut for Vikings defensive end Jared Allen. Acquired in the offseason from Kansas City, the All-Pro defender was held without a sack and did not record a tackle in last night’s loss at Green Bay. Allen says it was the worst performance in his career. The Packers’ offensive line was whistled for a number of penalties, including several holding calls while keeping Allen at bay. Green Bay got a 57-yard run by Ryan Grant and a 56-yard pass completion from Aaron Rodgers to Greg Jennings. They also ripped the Vikings’ special teams for a 76-yard punt return for a score by Will Blackmon.
