Friday Injury Report

Here is what is on the injury report on this fine Friday:

DOUBTFUL:  Tyrell Johnson (concussion)

QUESTIONABLE:  Cedric Griffin (neck), Percy Harvin (illness), Phil Loadholt (shoulder), Karl Paymah (knee), and Antoine Winfield (foot)

PROBABLE:  Bernard Berrian (hamstring), Brett Favre (not injury related), Adrian Peterson (foot, ankle), Visanthe Shiancoe (ribs), Steve Hutchinson (shoulder), Bryant McKinnie (ankle), and Pat Williams (foot)

Favre has been added to the report for some reason, most likely because the Vikings limited him in practice today in order to rest him up a bit.  Still, it is odd that they bothered to list him.

With Tyrell Johnson almost certainly not going to play, Jamarca Sanford will probably get a chance to show us what he’s got.

Also, notice that three of our cornerbacks are listed as questionable, including our two starters.  Asher Allen may be called on to start depending on which combination of these corners do not end up playing.

Harvin’s migraines have yet to cause him to miss a game.  However, they’ve also never caused him to miss an entire week’s worth of practice.

Lets hope so, but he has been saying that for weeks now. I’ll believe it when I see it.

    ran,
I hope he is, I’m with Johnny, When I see it lol…

Charlie hers my gut feeling. Tyrell-out. Griffin, Harvin, Load, Bmac, Paymah, Favre, AD, Shank, Hutch, Pat and Herrara in. Winnfield-out. What do you think?

  5. Fran the Man says:

Myself, I’d like to see Winfield out until it’s POSITIVE he’s healed up.
It would do our team no good at all to have him play this weekend and re-injure his foot again and be lost for the playoffs.
I’ll say the same about Hutch. . .

Yea Fran, but I see this game as a much needed win. We get this one, and keep that 2 game lead on the Pack and the Cards, it bodes well for that very important bye week.

I have a feelin Cards might run the table. That means Vikes gotta win 3 of 4.

  7. c.carterhof says:

Just sayin, I think we need Antoine out there. I dont want him to hurt it worse, But if he can go…

    • Fran the Man says:

I don’t disagree at all but I’d hate to see him aggravate that foot and lose him for the playoffs. If his injury isn’t completely healed, I say sit him.
We’re 10-2 and can afford the loss more than losing Winfield for the playoffs.

No question we need him out there, especially with all the rooks out there. Hope he can go and stay healthy.

  9. G.P. says:

  10. Ole says:

  11. Ole says:

Freds should be happy I didn’t start an STD thread

  12. Fragile Fred says:

    Oles –

Freds has no idea what a fuel additive has anything to do with football talk.

  13. bigjohnny84 says:

Freds I think STD stands for Super Tackling Dude. That would make sense to me.

  14. Fran the Man says:

Ole, that was really weird about EJ’s injury. You two (ABV) had JUST completed your exchange about injuries when, BAM!, it happened.
I think you’re both to blame and should have to buy everyone of us a sixer of 45’s.
