Erin Henderson Tackles A Tough Issue

When Erin Henderson was suspended for the NFL’s Substance Policy, he refused to admit any guilt, and I believed him.  Some of you may even remember that I went out of my way to defend him.

I was still disappointed to see numerous commenters (on other publications with less classy readers, of course) rip into Henderson and call him names.

Anyone out there who might still think Henderson deserves to be called a “thug” or “immature” should check out his recent blog entry that he penned recently by clicking here.

Thanks for the link Adam. I now have an enormous amount of respect for Erin. He now jumps into the high character mold in my eyes.

Great Post Adam!! I wrote a letter last year to Jared Allen for to thank him for the work he did for the USO last spring. He and 3 others went and visited the troops over in Iraq. Being a retired Navy Vet myself, I told him what that meant to the people he visited over there. It means more than people will ever know. I have much more respect for Erin Henderson after reading that article. Keep that stuff coming!! Those are stories nobody ever gets tired of reading.

Fred re read his comments posted after AKs, original article. Fred feels the same way now as he did then. His respect for the military doesn’t preclude his ablility to take a performance enhancing drug.

Just plain tired of the lack of accountability. Props to those athletes with enough sack to own up and clean up.

So sorry for Erin’s friend, let’s hope he recovers well.

Freds, I know the military side is very close to your heart, God bless you and Freds jr. I think this gives Erin more credibility on his claims about the drug test issue.

Wow. If that was truly from the heart, Erin has a new fan.
Although at this point, I’m a much bigger fan of his big brother.

  5. Purple Charlie says:

Good to see stories like that, Erin shows a caring and responsable attitude. I have alot of respect for him now…

I hope soon someday he will be a starting LB for the Vikings…

His brother has to be proud of him…

Looks like Fat Pat will be on stand for the Gel Cap fiasco in the next couple days. Fred would love to sit in the court room and watch those well educated, stuffed shirts try to figure out what the hell Pat is saying when he is asked a question.

    Poor court reporter.
