Peterson Commits To Camp

Judd Zulgad of Access Vikings recently caught up with Adrian Peterson and any worries that may have still lingered in regards to a contract dispute can now be tossed aside for a year.

“Oh yeah I’ll be there,” he said of training camp. “Without a shadow of a doubt. Whether there is contract talk or not, I will be there.”

Peterson also sounded annoyed that speculation centered on his contract status, and that the reason he missed mandatory was simply because “Adrian Peterson Day” was scheduled before the camp was.

“Do I want a new contract?” Peterson said. “Anytime you’re dealing with a business …. you’ve got the business side to it and you’ve got your side when you’ve got to go out and perform. With that being said, I focus on what I have to do and that’s prepare myself for the season and I let my agents take care of everything else. I am excited about training camp and I’m ready to get going. I’m sure I’m more pumped up than the coaches. Just excited.”

“As a businessman you’re going to do on both sides what’s best for you,” Peterson said.

He also told Zulgad that his agent has spoken with the Vikings about a contract extension, but the urgency of that conversation will remain a mystery for now.

Atta boy AD, go get em. Let the agent do his job, you do yours. Cause you only have 45 days to get ready for them Saints.
45 more days, 45 Ed Sharockman days!

Well, isn’t it nice when someone under contract decides they will go ahead and honor the contract by coming to work! That’s just wonderful! But all sarcasm aside, it is good that AP clears up what appears to have been another inflated story. Thanks for the report Adam.

Psst… AP. That contract will be a little sweeter if you learn to hang on to the ball. Might be time well spent.

You did my heart good there, cart! Good ‘ol Eddie! Tomorrow, Thursday and Friday should be easy ones as well unless I am missing someone.
