Allen Back To Practice, Harvin Out Again

After a preseason like the Vikings have had, fans are bound to twitch every time they hear that a player missed practice.  When Jared Allen didn’t practice yesterday, it was only natural for fans to worry that he was kidnapped by aliens, came down with some virus that has been dormant for a million years but recently has made a comeback, or decided now was the time to get surgery done.

None of those scenarios appear to be true, however, as Allen was back on the field Thursday.  Mall of America Field, that is, as the Vikings decided to hold practice inside the Metrodome to get a feel for their new playing surface prior to Saturday’s preseason game.

Unfortunately, after practicing yesterday, Percy Harvin was again not practicing.  (UPDATE:  Apparently, contrary to multiple reports, Harvin did not practice yesterday either.)

Also not practicing were Kenny Onatolu, Jasper Brinkley, and Jimmy Kennedy.

Oh, and for those of you that missed seeing him on the field last week, it is expected that Pat Williams will start and play on Saturday.

I dont know this for sure, but I’d guess Percy is just having more tests done, as Chilly sounded like there were some they wanted to do but couldn’t quite yet.

  4. B. Grant says:

Have ’em do a couple tests on Chili while they’re at it.
