The Vikings got some good news today when Cedric Griffin and John Sullivan took part in practice.
Also, here are the players that are currently occupying spot on the Vikings practice squad:
– Safety Colt Anderson
– Offensive guard Thomas Austin
– Defensive tackle Tremaine Johnson
– Wide receiver Freddie Brown
– Wide receiver Logan Payne
– Fullback Ryan D’Imperio
– Cornerback Marcus Sherels
There is one more spot waiting to be filled on the practice squad.
Adam,
Yeah on the good news for Sully and Griff !!!
Glad to see Anderson,Payne,Sherels made the practice squad.
Hey Charlie.
Maybe Sully can play Thursday.
Any good CBs or Olinemen out there Adam?
We only have 4 more days.
Yep, 4 Brett Favre days! (Sorry Freds)
Carters,
Weren’t you counting down classic Vikings? Shame on you, shame, shame, shame.
By the way, the other day Frans made a comment about Banjo looking old this year, having aged a lot since last year. Your old pal Fragile agrees, Banjo looks like he aged 10 years since last year. Not kidding, Frans was right, this dude looks like a broken down old bastard.
Freds is guessing he has been waking up nights taking care of his new born son. Tjizzle better be ready, he will be seeing some work this year.
CC,
Hope so…
Johnny,
Let the Tony Richardson talk begin!!
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/09/05/jets-cut-tony-richardson/
I would love to see Tony back in purple Freds. Only problem is Childo seems to have the same mancrush on Tahi that he has on Tjizzle.
Tahi doesn’t compare to Tony…
Again a No Brainer…
Not if your Childress…
Vikings signed G Seth Olsen, a 4th-round pick of the Broncos in 2009, to complete their practice squad, according to National Football Post.
G Seth Olsen…..
Sounds like he should be CEO of a large corporation or community leader or some British butler with big ears and bad teeth.
Fred apologizes in advance to UKVikes guy for the poor attempt at humor at the expense of the Brits.
Glad to see there’s room for T-Joke on there. He needs all the practice he can get.
Tremaine Johnson DT is an interesting choice on the taxi squad. That puts him about 4 down the list of DT’s after starters Williams’, the injured Jimmy Kennedy, Fred Evans, Letroy Guion and Jamie Mitchell. Either there’s some talent there. More likely is that Williams suspension isn’t over for 2010.
The Denver Broncos have announced they have claimed free-agent OT Chris Clark (Vikings) off waivers.
Yikes! The swinging door has caught a flight to Denver.
Duck Tebow Duck!!!!!!
Freds,
Your right, He was pretty bad…
ESPN…Speaking for the first time since the trade, Childress had opened his Sunday media conference by comparing the backup quarterback situation to the Minnesota Twins’ catcher situation behind Joe Mauer, the reigning American League MVP..”
—————————————-
Huh? You mean the dude that backs up Joe Mauer can’t throw the ball back to the pitcher without over throwing him, under throwing him, or puts down the sign for a curve when he really wanted a fast ball or when a base runner is trying to steal second, he fires the ball into right field?
That Freds friends is coach of the year Brads breaking it down for ya!
Freds, excuse me, but I believe I am designated for baseball comments on this forum…
Yes, BChild did make that comparison. What it means is that like TJack, Butera often jumps when he throws to second base, and does not interview nearly as well as Joe Money. That is the correct analysis of this comparison.
All reports I heard from camp, was T Jack was lights out good. Some players said T-jack has looked alot better than Favre. One practice he completed every pass he threw. Favre completed maybe half, and Sage maybe a third. This is what a reporter was saying on a radio show.
The practice I went to Tjax couldnt hit a bull in the ass with a scoop shovel bout like Broncos game. No pressure in practice.
johnny, I hate to break the news to you, ol buddy, but hitting a bull in the ass with a scoop shovel is quite inadviseable. They don’t take kindly to it, and have the ability to make you pay. While I understand your point, in this case I am simply glad to know that TJack would CHOOSE NOT to hit said bull in said ass with said scoop shovel.
All kidding aside about TJax, he seems to have great athletic ability. He’s got a solid arm, he’s strong and hard to bring down in the pocket, has the ability to run for positive yardage. But we heard for a couple years about how Troy Williamson was catching everything at camp, but given a game situation Troy couldn’t catch consistently. Jackson seems to suffer from the ability to consistently perform well in live games. We can hope he will work through some of those issues, but so far, he can’t do it. So Fred tends to discount camp reports until we start to see it in games.
We just can’t afford a QB who can’t hit his receivers in stride, can’t throw a swing pass, blah blah blah you get the picture.
As Freds has said before, Tjax seems like a good kid, I hope he can turn the corner.
I absolutely agree Fred. You can’t help but like the guy. Like you said, he seems to have great athletic ability. He’s got a solid arm, he’s strong and hard to bring down in the pocket, has the ability to run for positive yardage.
I hate to say it but I think the guy just lacks a bit in the ‘ol brain pan category.
I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think so.
The queens will be terrible this year. Go Packers!!! Se you morons in the Access Vikings archives.
Pfffft. You’re out of here.
Hi Buster!
I don’t think so Freds. Buster had a little class to him. This M of C is just a dick.
Yeah I’ll be right over at the old AV. Why dont you run along and wait.
CC,
He seems like he would be Dumb enough to wait… lol
Its game week.
The rematch of the 2009 NFC Championship will mark the 29th time, including playoffs, the two teams have met. The Vikings currently own a 20-8 record against the Saints and are 8-6 at the Superdome. The Vikings have won eight of the last 10 matchups and have scored 28 points or more in each of the last five games against the Saints.
Can you feel that? I’m feelin’ it! Bring it!
Yup, it’s exciting alright, cart, but just feels like we don’t have our clip full of ammo right now. We need our shots to be true right from the get go.
I gotta say, I think there are some players on that practice squad. You can’t deny this is a very strong roster overall, and I see we did sign a OL, so at least it must be a TOPIC among the braintrust — that’s encouraging, although I doubt Brett will sleep much better with the news that Seth Olsen has been acquired.
Milt Sunde, Ed White, Tim Irwin, Randall McDaniel, Mick T., where are you guys? We need some ATTITUDE on this current OL of ours!
Coach,
Maybe we can have the D-line play O-line. We seem to have plenty attitude on that side of the ball.
Yeah, we keep Hutch where he is have Phat Pat play the other Guard, KWill at center. The tackles will be Edwards and the Mullet.
Hell, they’ll have 10 days to rest up after.
“Everybody looked at the film,” guard Anthony Herrera said. “Everybody knew. It is what it is. We had a lot of late hits on the quarterback. It wasn’t called.”
Brees doesn’t expect retribution on Thursday night.
At least, nothing over the line.
“If the Vikings guys get a clean shot at me, I know they’re going to take it,” Brees said. “That’s football, and everybody loves hitting the quarterback.”
-From 1500 ESPN
Oh its coming Mr. Brees. A clean hit? Okay, I’m sure if Mr. Herrera saw it so did Allen, Edwards, Williams wall, and the rest of the Viking D.
break Brees’ back
Said Hampton, “The Vikings need to go down there and hit that town like Katrina.”
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/09/05/dan-hampton-vikings-should-hit-new-orleans-like-katrina/
I’m sure watching the film again got their juices flowing again…
I hope the Saints get the ball first…
Ravens agreed to terms with WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh on a one-year, $855,000 contract.
Well that’s the T.J. Housh talk now…
Speaking of the other T.J. Brad is getting tired of the media hounding him …
Childress better get use to it if something happpens to Brett.
I don’t understand… who are we gonna pick up at WR now?
Brett,
Good question, You know they won’t go after Jackson, too much money…
While Houshmandzadeh is getting signed, my man Bernard Berrian is doing his thing on Minute to Win It. He doesn’t seem like the TV type to me but still stoked to see him make some money for his favorite charity, Second Harvest Heartland!

coach of the year Brads. My bad
No need to correct yourself BJohnny, the next posting Freds puts up here that is 100% correct will be his first!
Thank you Charles. Freds can’t wait for the season to begin, college football is underway, the spoiled divas are next!
Freds you are spot on with the spoiled divas. Is it just me or does it keep getting worse every year? I see the Jets gave in to Revis for a boatload of money if he plays or if he’s hurt.
Happy end of the weekend, Everyone! I’m bummed about G Mills being cut. Maybe he can get the last practice squad slot…
ABV, Mills signed with the Eagles.
