Harvin Active, Three Corners Again

Percy Harvin will take the field against the Dolphins, but Cedric Griffin and Chris Cook will not.  Both cornerbacks have been listed as inactive.  That leaves the Vikings with only three healthy cornerbacks for the second week in a row.

Joe Webb will be inactive as the third quarterback, able to play only in an emergency situation.

Albert young is inactive too, meaning rookie Toby Gerhart will make his NFL debut today.  Keep in eye on this youngster.

I thought the Vikings would have learned their lesson last week as to how they need Chris DeGeare active.  Apparently they didn’t, as he’s inactive again.

Jimmy Kennedy, Mickey Shuler, and Everson Griffen make up the rest of the inactives for Sunday’s matchup.

I guess the Vikes didn’t get quite as healthy as we had hoped.

The inactives for the Dolphins are made up of quarterback Chad Pennington, receiver Roberto Wallace, cornerback Nolan Carroll, linebacker Channing Crowder, end Ikaika Alama-Francis, offensive lineman Jermey Parnell, tackle Lydon Murtha and end Jared Odrick.

That is so very bizzare listing Degeare as inactive for the 2nd week.
Other than our secondary, the O-line is our weakest link.

    No matter;
    Vikings 35
    Fish 17

Agreed Fran. Just a matter of time before these stategies bite them in the butt.

  3. Fran the Man says:

    Stategies Johnny? Stategies?
I thought they were called “Childress’s stupid moves”

Hey, is this going to be our “Live chat” site for todays game?

  4. bigjohnny84 says:

I guess stategies does give Childress a little too much credit Fran. Stupid moves is more accurate, I concur.

    Hey Johnny and Fran.
Its just about game time! I’m thinkin Edwards and Greenway have a good game. On offense, Harvin and Shank come up big. Dolphins will go all out to stop run, still think AD gets at least 80. Camarillo should get 5-6 catches, help out big on 3rd downs.

  6. Fran the Man says:

I concur cc, although I think AD goes over 100, easy.
    Game time!

  7. Johnny says:

Hey CC. Why didnt they kick the FG? Stupid

  8. c.carterhof says:

Very stupid Johnny. We should have 10 points.
Vikes are the better team, better win this. Why didnt we call a time out on 3rd and 7 at midfield with the clock running, there was about 50 seconds left. It was too important of a play, call the T.O and get it right! Dont understand.

  9. CalVkg says:

    where’s the O?

    gotta win this game. gotta

time for vjax. joe webb should start and favre should retire

  12. CalVkg says:

so now we panick for two days, then hope gets renewed with the deal for vj, but october looms large, now with the very real possibility of entering november at 3-4 or 2-5, 4-3 would need a huge turnaround to happen. we needed this game today

The 2007 Brad Childress has returned. The 2008 and 2009 versions weren’t much better…..but wow, just a poorly drawn up game plan and use of talent.
