NFC North Losses Provide Vikes With Golden Opportunity

The Detroit Lions saw their backup quarterback Shaun Hill, who was starting in place of Matt Stafford, break an arm today, meaning that Drew Stanton was in the game today.  The Giants were able to fend off another valiant effort by the hapless Lions.  28-20 was the final score.

The Packers are currently less healthy than Ozzie Osbourne, and the Dolphins were able to win a close one in Green Bay despite a very, very long touchdown catch out of Greg Jennings.  They had an overtime loss to the Dolphins.  23-20 was the final score.

Like the Packers, the Bears were unable to win at home.  They lost to Seattle, 23-20.

This gives the Vikings a perfect opportunity to beat the Cowboys and regain some lost ground in the NFC North standings.  A decisive victory over the Cowboys would surely breathe new life into a season that has been hard to watch to date.

Lions QB Shuan Hill broke his forearm today.

Well, Camarillo just scored, but our O-line looks abhorrent. Favre is throwing with pop, but he’s been on his back 4 out of 7 dropbacks.

Seriously, what is it with our O-linemen? Phil Loadholt was a 2nd round pick and is functionally retarded. McKinnie is on and off. Our centers are bottom-of-the barrel replacements. Pretty much it’s Hutch. He is the man, and that’s it.

Oh, and the one play that Albert Young was in for, he blew a blitz pickup and Favre got blasted. There’s a reason he was undrafted…

If the front office doesn’t spend ALL of our draft picks on O-linemen this year, I will crap myself.

Sundays and Vikings games used to be a thing of joy and happiness… now they’re just filled with headaches, frustration, cursing and beer. *sigh* We need to get this turned around here pronto.

Stick around Brett. Being a Viking fan of 35+ years there have been plenty of headaches, frustration, cursing and beer.

Great Sunday for the Vikings. Now we just need to dominate the packers at their home field and our season will have the momentum we need to dominate the North.

I don’t understand why Shaincoe isn’t being used. Kleinsasser seems to be the tight end of choice, i mean more power to em but Shiancoe is a powerful tight end. Hopefully this game let Favre rest his arm a lil and get it in better shape for green bay. Considering the lack of deep passes.
