It was a long time coming, but last week the news of Brett Favre’s alleged “sexting” that possibly has him in trouble with the NFL under the Personal Conduct Policy had officially hit the mainstream media.
I knew that the story had officially arrived when I was watching NBC’s live episode of 30 Rock and Kenneth was delivering mail to Jenna and exclaimed with enthusiastic innocence, “A Mister Fav-Ray sent you this picture of a hot dog.”
“About time,” replied Jenna.
Well, it is about time that the NFL has decided to ask questions to the man himself so that hopefully us fans can eventually get a final resolution to the situation and move beyond it, one way or another.
Today, Favre will meet with the NFL’s VP of security Milt Ahlerich in what amounts to an interview of the accused. Favre will likely be unable to evade questions in the same fashion as he has been able to do with the media thus far.
So far, neither Jenn Sterger nor either of the two massage therapists that are accusing Favre are believed to have participated in the NFL investigation. Speculation on the internet suggests they could be waiting to see if they receive a significant lump sum of money as a settlement from Favre.
None of the Vikings coaches or players are thought to be involved in the meeting scheduled for today, other than Favre, of course.
In the meantime, don’t be surprised if the jokes continue to pop up on network television and if the internet speculation continues to come at a rapid pace.

Wow, Cal… that’s kinda… sick. You OK?
Agreed Coach. I hope Cal is ok. Freds must be rubbing off on him.
it’s called a JOKE!
jeez
Ohhh, a JOKE. Ok, that’s cool.
The Colbert Report had a good one liner! Can’t remember what it was though, or when it aired. lol
This is a difficult one for the NFL. If the gals are willing to cash in on this issue and keep their yaps shut, old Banjo might just get away with it.
A hall of fame QB does something like this? Why? Perhaps America’s worst President explains it best during an interview with that crazy ass Dan Rather:
Rather: “The central question, if I may, and I know this is difficult, the central question is why?”
Clinton: “I think I did something for the worst possible reason — just because I could. I think that’s the most , just about the most morally indefensible reason that anybody could have for doing anything. When you do something just because you could … I’ve thought about it a lot. And there are lots of more sophisticated explanations, more complicated psychological explanations. But none of them are an excuse … Only a fool does not look to explain his mistakes.”
I’m confused. Again. I thought we already passed the “keeping their yap shut” stage. Didn’t someone have to orginally open their yap to start this thing? So now if she gets some coin, she’ll say, “just kidding”? See, I don’t understand.
Here’s my questions. Can anyone really punish him worse than Mrs. Favre can, and most likely will?
No.
But they could punish the Vikes.
From what reports have said everything was provided by some unnamed third party, not by any of the supposed victims, and was sent to deadspin… which is part of the reason I still wonder if this is all just a load of made up crap :P.
Sooo… Ted Thompson is at it again, eh Nume?
