Vikings Inactives

Hank Baskett, Lito Sheppard, Albert Young, Eric Frampton, Erin Henderson, Chris DeGeare, and Fred Evans are inactive for today’s matchup against the Packers. Joe Webb is the No. 3 quarterback.

Last week Sidney Rice, Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrian were all seen sitting on the bench at the end of the game.  This week, it appears that all three of them will be involved.

The normal starts are all available along the offensive line, as well.

Hey Adam, are you on your journey yet?

  2. Adam Warwas says:

Just saw the FOX special on Josh Freeman. Heck of a young QB right there. Seems like a nice guy too.

Hope there are a couple of those in this coming draft 🙂

  3. Fragile Freds says:

We’ve heard of the SI jinx.

    “Abdullah A Good Find”

Was that the VG kiss of death?

Abdullah is having a very tough day. Bad angles, poor coverage and a dropped pic in one quarter.

Dang our offensive line can’t pass block for crap.

  4. Adam Warwas says:

Abdullah from hero to zero in one week.

Chili throwing flag within two minutes, nice.

    Gerhart’s improvement spoiled by fumble.

    Loadholt is terrible.

Chris Cook has been made to look like a fool.

Glad I won’t be here to write the articles this week 🙂

  5. Fragile Freds says:

    Amen to that.

You forgot AP getting his ass run over twice TRYING to pick up the blitz.

Banjo throwing his 253rd int this year

    Hey man, enjoy your trip!!

  6. CalVkg says:

our terrorist! catch the damn ball!

and what happened to cook? no sizzle. he looked lost on that td

now childo will have to give up on AP

  7. fozz44 says:

It’s not the coach, it’s not the coach, it’s not the coach.

Trying to talk myself out of thinking the obvious.

Good news is, after today…..IF they win their final 6 games they still have a shot. Then when they lose next week….they can win their final 5, as some teams have made it to the playoffs at 8-8…and on and on and on.

  8. c.carterhof says:

Very depressed, got 30 minutes to snap out of it.

Not very hopefull, need a turnover.

  9. Fragile Freds says:

Has anyone ever seen Pat Williams and Pam Oliver in the same room? They might be the same person, Pat with a wig.

Pam push back from the training table!

  10. c.carterhof says:

Wow, no way. This is crazy.

Chillys gotta be gone after this.

  11. justin says:

The vikings secondary is a joke besides winfield. Favre is a has been so sick of the way they are playing this year lets look fwd to a good draft

    • fozz44 says:

Winfield is a great tackler…..but downfield he’s just not good. Never has been and really exposed when the rest of the dbacks are junior college quality.

  12. Fragile Freds says:

Fozz you are correct, Tony is a good tackler, not such a good cover guy.

  13. Ole says:

two teams going in opposite directions. Where is brad’s KAO, 3 points so far this week, 13 last week vs the Bears. Terrible

  14. fozz44 says:

Brad, when you’re down 21 in the middle of the 3rd period, you need touchdowns, not field goals.

  15. CalVkg says:

    wth, run the hurry-up, childumbazz

    • fozz44 says:

Cal…you are a typical idiot fan (like all of us non-head coaches)

Why would you run the hurry up at the start of the 4th quarter? That is reserved for the end of the half. Oh wait, that’s when you take a knee w/ your kao.

I’m confused, which is just further confirmation that I’m not as brilliant as Chilly.

  16. Ole says:

buh bye brett, don’t let the door hit you in the butt on your way outta town

  17. Johnny says:

    This is embarassing as hell.

  18. titan concrete says:

Jake Locker 45 yards pass to Percy Harvin….TD!!!!

Hey… Have to look for something good to come from this team.Looks like the only positive thing will be the draft position.

  19. fozz44 says:

To show completely that he has no control of the team….a beat up, ineffective Favre goes back out in the 4th quarter, down 28.

I’m calling a retirement announcement tomorrow, followed by a termination announcement.

  20. titan concrete says:

Let the rebuilding year begin.Enjoy it, we wont have a rebuilding year a again till 2012.

  21. fozz44 says:

The Metrodome has to be in melt down mode right now.

  22. Johnny says:

Being blown out at home by division rival has to be the straw that breaks Wilfs back

  23. titan concrete says:

Pretty strong back he has. I think hes carrying enough straw to feed the kemps cows for a month.

  24. CalVkg says:

    historic game.
and we don’t even show up

    we’ll all remember this one

  25. fozz44 says:

Greg Coleman interviewed Chilly. Sounds like he’s forgotten it already. They were just ‘herky jerky’ out there, that’s all.

    Stupid fans.

  26. wtfvikesfan says:

    FIRE CHILDRESS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BENCH FAVRE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. B. Grant says:

This is what the Les Steckel era looked like gentlemen… week after week after week. I said that the second half of last week’s Bear game was as bad as I have seen a Viking team play for quite some time. This was the worst since the Steckel era. Embarrassed in all phases, and it does indeed appear as though Chili has lost his team. This has to come to an end.

    • CalVkg says:

question is, will wilf wait until the end of the year?

    • Johnny says:

Coach are there alot of similarities between Steckel and Childo?

      • titan concrete says:

All season I have been defending Chilli. I am big enough to admit that I was wrong. He has lost this team. There are SEVERAL obvious problems with this team, but it needs to start at the top. The worst thing this year is that we cant go with the “theres always next year” approach. There is no next year. While we are in the beginning phases of piecing a team together, The Pack is obviously built for years to come, the bears are up and down yearly, and the Lions look like they have put together a nice squad and will be a strong team over the next few years. Next year we will be looking at at least 35% new players on our starting roster, a new coach, a new QB. and, hopefully not a new home.

        This really sucks.

      • Fran the Man says:

        Yes Johnny, there are.
Those two have the distinct honor of being the two worst coaches in the history of the NFL and Ziggy Wilf is their King.

      • B. Grant says:

Several similarities, Johnny. Both were pretty successful as asst. coaches, and should have stayed at that level. Steckel was in charge of some pretty potent offenses, including the Super Bowl Patriots if I’m not mistaken. They both had this sort of stubborness of “doing it my way”, and trying to be different. Steckel tried to establish a military approach, and I am not sure what you characterize Chili’s approach as.

        • bigjohnny84 says:

Coach I for one would characterize Childos approach as moronic. I cant seem to remember who the owner was that hired Steckel?

          • B. Grant says:

            GM Mike Lynn.

          • bigjohnny84 says:

Did Mike Lynn do anything right? Seems like whenever I hear his name it’s associated with something bad.

          • B. Grant says:

He took very good care of Mike Lynn, johnny. He had contract language that probably is still today paying him big bucks annually. He irritated a lot of people in his time, and led the group that more or less forced out the beloved Max Winter as owner. He started out seeming to be a pretty skillful GM, but his stock dropped quickly. He would be an SOB in the memories and opinions of many people. He did, however, play a major role in making Dallas a dynasty for many years (Walker trade), another reason I hate the Cowbuts.

          • bigjohnny84 says:

Sorry Coach it’s probably not a good day to bring up bad memories.

  28. CalVkg says:

    “No-Pro” team

oh man, this was before today’s game. favre is first –

“Favre has played terribly nearly all season”

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/The-Shutdown-Corner-Midseason-No-Pro-Team-The?urn=nfl-287740

    • titan concrete says:

I hate to say it, but the article is right. Name me one starting QB in the NFL that would have had worse stats/record with this team… I cant think of any.

      • bigjohnny84 says:

You could be right titan but I would also submit that how many qbs in the NFL could handle the beatings Favre has endured this year and last year for that matter. I cant believe that oline hasnt gotten him life threatening injuries.

  29. B. Grant says:

I have always said that every game is a loss until you do something to win it. The Vikes are living proof of that this season. They simply play… and lose. No big plays, no forced turnovers, no… they just play. In the three wins, we had a big KO return by Percy vs. Dallas and the heroic finish by Favre vs. Arizona. Otherwise… nothing.

    • bigjohnny84 says:

Coach it looks to me like they are just flat and I dont see much intensity either. No fire in their bellies as Denny Green would say.

      • B. Grant says:

Yeah, and as much as I want to give the benefit of the doubt to the coach, there just seems to be no adjusting or instilling of urgency. Why not go to the hurry up? Increase pass protection with some adjustments. Alter the blitz packages. Chili just does not look like he is in charge these last few games, like he really does not know how to fix what is happening on the field. He’s lost me now, too, and I don’t give up on a coach easily.

        • bigjohnny84 says:

It is kinda sad Coach because I think Childo really knows the x’s and o’s of the game. I see him on that show Vikings Gameplan with Paul Allen and think this guy knows his stuff. But then in the games and making game plans and in his pressers he’s totally lost.

After GB scored their first td we just seemed to mail it in!
