Adam Caplan of Thesidelineview.com reports that former Viking running back Albert Young has accepted an assistant coaching job with the University of Colorado.
Though no official announcement was made, this would seem to indicate the end of Young’s NFL career. An undrafted free agent out of Iowa in 2008, Young appeared in 10 games for the Vikings between 2009-10, carrying the ball 25 times for 82 yards. He made it to final cuts with the Jaguars last year, but drew no interest following the start of the regular season.
