Vikings Ticket Outlook for 2013

We’re a little over a week away from the beginning of the 2013 regular season and it’s time to take a look at just how costly Minnesota Vikings tickets are going to be this year.  The average ticket price for Vikings games this year is $144, a 15% increase compared to 2012.  With the team coming off a playoff appearance last year, as well as free agent wide receiver Greg Jennings coming over from the Packers, Minnesota management must be somewhat pleased that the value of tickets on the secondary market has risen.

Although, a careful look into the Vikings season shows tickets have remained roughly the same compared to last year.  The most expensive ticket for any Vikings game this season is for their match up against Pittsburgh across the pond.  On September 29th, both the Vikings and Steelers travel to Wembley Stadium in London for a Vikings “home game.”  The average ticket price is $361, a little less than 70% higher than the second most expensive game a month later against Green Bay.

There are certainly some bargains available for Vikings games this year, as every home game at the Metrodome has a get-in price below $50, except for their match up against the Packers.  The home opener against Cleveland will cost only $16 to grab a seat, but the cheapest game is a few weeks later when Cam Newton and Carolina visit.  You’ll be able to watch that game at the Metrodome for only $11.  While a little more expensive than the other games, tickets against Chicago start at only $45 so Bears fans priced out of Soldier Field may make the trip up north to see their beloved Bears.
