Vikings Cut 12 Players

The Vikings released their first wave of players Monday morning, and there were a few surprises.

According to Tom Pelissero of USA TODAY, here are the players Minnesota cut:

Kheeston Randall, DT

Came to Minnesota with Zimmer. Spent last year on the practice squad. Brandan Bishop, S

Pierce Burton, OT

Erik Lora, WR Apparently Kain Colter and Andy Cruse are more valuable to the Vikings than Lora, which comes as a surprise.

Kamar Jorden, WR

Tyler Scott, DE

Jake Snyder, DE

Robert Steeples, CB

Ty Walker, WR

Kory Sperry, TE

Derek Cox, CB Probably the biggest surprise in these cuts, he was high on the depth chart and was expected to make the roster by many.

Mistral Raymond, S

Raymond was never really good, but the Vikings have gotten considerably deeper at safety.

Minnesota still has to release three more players by Tuesday at 3 PM CT.
