Vikings Ink Brandon Fusco Through 2019

The Vikings on Saturday signed right guard Brandon Fusco to a 5-year, $25 million contract extension. The team announced the move around 3 PM on the afternoon before it’s first game.

Fusco turned heads in 2012 by cracking the starting lineup, just a year after he was drafted in the sixth round of out Slippery Rock. Last year, Fusco played well enough to earn himself a spot in Pro Football Focus’s top ten guards.

This extension appears to be a steal for the Vikings at $5 million a year, especially after a string of lucrative contracts handed down to offensive linemen, such as the Vikings’ own right tackle, Phil Loadholt.

Fusco had one year remaining on his deal.
